The theme of the meeting will be: ”The Fraternity, a way of reconciliation and peace”.
From a blood fraternity, a founding experience, to a “universal” fraternity, Brother Charles desired fraternity and sought it throughout his life. In the Bible, the first story about brothers is that of Cain who killed his brother Abel. Then there was Joseph whose brothers wanted to kill him…..More than being, we become brothers (it is the idea of a way).
In Europe as well as in the other continents, fraternity is perhaps the greatest challenge of our time, with the situations of war that we know today and an increasing amount of withdrawal into oneself and rejection of the other. To experience reconciliation between brother/sister, we are invited to first and foremost choose the way of peace and reconciliation with ourselves. In this light we will question ourselves about our capacity to be reconciled with all of Creation.
